Honey has been used globally for more than 2700 years. According to WHO, over 80% of the population in some developed countries use natural remedies. Honey is one of the most common forms of natural remedies. Raw honey is collected by bees and contains important antibacterial properties. Honey also contains different substances divided into major components (Glucose and Fructose monosaccharides). It has been recommended by the National Institute of Health, Care Excellence, and Public Health in England. It has shown to significantly reduces cough frequency and severity compared with Diphenhydramine. It has also been used prior to the use of antibiotics. Honey is well tolerated and accessible.
